Seattle foodie seeks hot spots
I'm a food junkie. That's all there is to it. And as such, I've frequented the markets, restaurants, and bakeries of every city I've lived in. A big help to me in Boston was chowhound. But, I'm so disappointed that they don't have a Seattle board -- it's the Pacific Northwest, which is REALLY broad. It makes it hard to browse, because you have to skip the threads about Portland and Victoria, BC and every little town in between.
I picked up a book by Katy Calcott called The Food Lover's Guide to Seattle. It's got great info in it about everything from meat and produce markets to the best pastrami sandwich in Seattle. I've got to get cracking on trying these places out.
I also found the Culinary Communion gang. They have a cool community feel, and are clearly foodie-friendly. You can even host a class that they'll teach.
