Salmon Spawn Ride

Seattle is such a more cycle-friendly town than Boston was. I'm in the midst of shopping for a road bike (sheesh what a process!) so I can chase after my triathelete sister and my cycle-crazed boyfriend. I've seen one I like -- a good starter bike that's light enough for me to keep pace, but also cheap enough to be reasonable for a beginner. I've learned more about things like Shimano components in the last few weeks than I ever thought I'd care to know. One of these days, I'm going to bite the bullet and just buy one.

But in the meantime, I've been dreaming about things I'll do on my bike, like ride in the Cascade Spawning Cycle. It's put on by the Cascade Bicycle Club, which I keep hearing good things about. So, for those of you with wheels, get out there and follow the salmon. I'll be living vicariously through you.
