It's like rain... on your wedding day

Ivan crashed a party today -- a wedding celebration party in PA. He wasn't invited, but what can you do? The party is at this outdoor picnic area (called Poppa Joe's Grove). Thanks to the remnants of Hurrican Ivan, the river that runs past it is overflowing and has taken back a good 10-15 feet of the grassy lawn. And it's a long, soggy walk up to the bathrooms.

It's definitely nowhere near the worst of Hurricane Ivan's work, but it is still impressive. In the local area, there's streets filled with water, roads closed, trees downed, and my favorite is a Ford Econoline with a "For Sale" sign in the window that's stranded in the middle of a rising river that's overflowed its banks.

All the while, my friends are in good spirits, friends are still traveling from all over to be here, and it's going to be a party. I'm glad Ivan hasn't spoiled the good times.
