Bloggers to learn from

I started this blog a long time ago, and only in the last few weeks have really gotten "in" to it. I'm having so much fun with it that I wish I'd started in on it sooner. In the last few days, I've been pondering this question... "Why did it take so long?"

Here's what I've come up with so far:

  1. It's intimidating. There are so many kick butt bloggers out there with such interesting things to say about the world. I felt (and still feel) the need to be at least as interesting and as profound in my comments about the world.
  2. It's so broad. Where do you start? The whole world is available for comment. So how do you focus? This is especially hard for me, because I'm such a generalist -- I am fascinated by and have thoughts about so many things.
  3. It feels "big." Like it will take a lot of time, and a lot of research to really do it right. And when there's only three posts, it feels like you've got a long way to go before you get anywhere.

So what changed? Well, I guess I just decided to really start. To just post whatever cool thing I came across and run with it.

Today, I found some inspiring words from Soul Soup, that you might enjoy too. And I have to say, it's so true. The more I do it, the more I become an information junkie, and the more I have to say. It's like a snowball that just grows and grows.
